M&A activity continues it’s trend with Hub Group acquiring Choptank. Two of the largest ocean freight carriers (Maersk and CMA) have been significant investments in the air freight space-furthering their push to become a vertically integrated supply chain solutions company. The vaccine mandate is unfolding and that may not result in great news to an already stretched trucking market. More to come on that.
Fuel has been at the top of everyone’s minds as prices have continued to rise. We do expect a little relief in the coming weeks and months but the EIA projection for diesel is eerily similar to what we have seen in 2021.
