Expert analysis on the transportation market

We continued to see strained networks across literally every mode of transportation in essentially all global markets. Domestically, we are continuing to see significant challenges in the domestic TL and LTL networks. April was remarkably consistent in terms of volume levels and rejection rates. We are anticipating a challenging beginning of May with the DOT Blitz scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 4th. We expect less driver capacity available which will add stress to an already challenging environment. Fuel Costs leveled dropped off slightly after five consecutive months of increases. 

What’s new this month?

• We added metrics around domestic Flatbed Trucking.
• Added Rejection rates for domestic TL based on the length of haul.
